There are a number of opportunities for junior golfers at the GSM Golf Academy. We run the following programs that will help any junior get into golf and beyond.
WEEKLY JUNIOR GOLFER PROGRAM
If your child is looking to get into golf then this is the first step. The GSM Golf Academy Junior Program is for young people of all abilities, whether they be first timers or those who may have played the game before. The class sizes are kept small so pupils have the best opportunity to develop their game. There are a number of programs run by GSM Golf Academy so as pupils golf improve there is the opportunity to advance to the next level of coaching.
Structure:
- Weekly lesson during the school term
- Half hour lessons
- Maximum of five pupils per group
- All equipment provided
Groups:
- Pebble Beach Program – beginner golfers
- St Andrews Program – intermediate golfers
- Augusta Program – advanced golfers
Covering All Aspects:
- Full swing (woods and irons)
- Chipping
- Pitching
- Bunkers
- Putting
- Tournament last Saturday of the school term (excluding December)

Cost: $96 for 8 sessions (Wednesday and Thursday classes) / $84 for 7 sessions (Saturday, Sunday and Monday classes)

Due to Labour Day Public Holiday, no session will be held on Saturday 10 March, Sunday, 11 March or Monday 12 March. As such, these session times will consist of 7 classes for the term (Wednesday and Thursday sessions will consist of 8 classes for the term).

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
In addition to our weekly Junior Golfer Program throughout the school term, Morack also conducts regular junior sessions during school holidays. These sessions are an ideal way to ensure the kids keep active and occupied whilst honing their skills on the course or driving range! All sessions are conducted by a qualified PGA Professional and offer great value for money.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY MINI SESSIONS (Cost $20 per person / session)
A fun, interactive and social experience focusing on just a couple of fundamentals of golf. Incorporates games and mini competitions. Come to one or both.
Dates: Monday 9 January 2012 (Irons and Woods) and Monday 16 January 2012 (Chipping and Putting)
Time: 9am - 10.30am
SCHOOL HOLIDAY HALF DAY PROGRAM (Cost $75 per person / session)
A slightly more intensive program than the Mini Sessions, focusing on game development, swing analysis and practice drills. A limited number of participants ensure more one on one time with PGA Professional. Cost includes drink and snack.
Dates: Wednesday 11 January 2012 and Wednesday 18 January 2012
Time: 9am - 12 noon

JUNIOR TOURNAMENTS
Morack hosts a junior tournament every school holidays giving our budding golfers the opportunity to take the skills they have learnt on the driving range on to the golf course. A short and long course is offered to ensure kids of all abilities can enjoy themselves with the opportunity to win great prizes in a friendly atmosphere. All tournaments are supervised and parents are welcome (and encouraged) to come and watch!
The major tournament each year is the Pump Junior Shootout giving juniors the opportunity to win a trip to the Australian PGA Golf Championship held at Hyatt Regency Cooloum on the Sunshine Coast!! This event is open to GSM Academy Juniors as well as visiting juniors from other venues. Again, there are prizes and giveaways for all participants.
